Expected and Observed Values

是說我們的實驗通常會量Expected Values和Observed Values，前者是測量Monte Carlo Simulation，以確保我們的Simulation沒問題；而後者是測量Real Data。我們做實驗通常會先看Expected Value，確定測量值和uncertainty沒問題之後纔會量Observed Value。

星期三的Meeting阿根廷肌肉宅Victor沒出現，而我們都知道他太太快生小孩了所以也不以為意。Meeting結束後大家聊起Victor的事，阿共李亮說：
「Victor小孩的預產期是今天喔！不曉得他太太生了沒......
「Today is the expected value! Now we are going to see the observed value!」
眾人大笑。德國人Yvonne接著說：
「通常都有一兩個禮拜的uncertainties啦！」

當天中午Victor的老闆Cecilia寄信說：Victor小孩前一天中午出生了！我們道賀之餘，阿共李亮也回信說：
Judging from the time, everything should follow the standard (model) expectation very nicely.
